Hello fellow
Plasmiticians......This is Jonathan Alexander Walkenstein at
the
University of Miami Physics Departments Nonlinear Dynamics Laboratory.
Our
PI is Dr. William B. Pardo with Dr. Harry S. Robertson as retired but
still
active co-PI. We are an experimental facility set up to study a wide
range
of nonlinear and chaotic behavior in PLASMAS of all sorts, DC, AC,
RF and
Laser excited. Perhaps some of you saw me at either The 2nd
Experimental
Chaos Conference or Dynamics Days '94 ( both ONR sponsored
events ) with
my plasma demo's? We have been developing some novel
plasma diagnostic
tools including hybrid signal processing and data
reduction techniques for
high-speed digital video based analysis. Our
group is working closly with
Dr. Jerry Magnan at Florida State University,
The Supercomputer
Computations Research Institute, when the proceedings
for the 2nd Chaos
Conference come out ( World Scientific ) the paper that
our groups worked
on ( Dr. Magnan presented "Video Based Analysis of
Bifurcation
Phenomena in Radio-Frequency-Excited Inert Gas Plasmas")
can be read
by all interested. I may be able to provide soft copy if
you send me some
E-MAIL.....anyway I hope this group lives long enough
for me to have time
to detail some of the technique that we are developing.
Over and out
4 now
