Subject: Ionized Gases Int'l Conf. - ICPIG XXII

The XXII International Conference on Phenomena in Ionized Gases will
be held at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA,
from Monday, 31 July 1995 through Friday, 4 August 1995.

The scientific program will cover topics of ionization phenomena in
gases, with special emphasis on moderate-temperature plasmas in which
atomic processes are important.  A proceedings will be published
several months after the conference.

The Conference will include the following subject areas:

      1.  Kinetics, thermodynamics and transport phenomena.
      2.  Waves and instabilities, including shock waves.
      3.  Non-linear phenomena and self-organization processes.
      4.  Particle and laser beam interaction with plasmas.
      5.  Ionospheric, magnetospheric, and astrophysical plasmas.
      6.  Physical aspects of plasma chemistry, plasma processing of
surfaces, plasma wall interaction and thim film technology.
      7.  Non-ideal plasmas.  Clusters and dusty plasmas.
      8.  Elementary processes.
      9.  Ionization growth and transition to breakdown.
      10. Low pressure glows.
      11. Coronas, sparks, surface discharges and high pressure glows.
      12. Arcs.
      13. Electrode and surface effects.
      14. Radio frequency, high frequency and microwave discharges.
      15. Laser induced and optically controlled discharges.
      16. Discharges for generation of laser radiation.
      17. Generation and dynamics of plasma flows.
      18. Numerical modeling.
      19. Plasma spectroscopy (including laser-induced fluorescence,
          optogalvanic and optovoltaic effects.
      20. Diagnostic methods.
      21. Plasmas for environmental issues.

The deadline for contributed papers is 10 February 1995.  Special paper for
submission of manuscripts (not more than 2 pages) will be available
with the Second Announcement of the Meeting on 15 September 1994.
