On a
slightly different note, we've been referencing Zel'dovich & Raizer's
"Physics
of Shock Waves and High-Temperature Gasdynamic Phenomena" for a
while
here. It has a lot of good stuff on a
lot of different things; I'm
*guessing* that the term "plasma
physics" was not so much in use in USSR
of the 1960's?
However,
the book went out of print in 1989.
Does anyone know of a
book that can qualify as a worthy
successor? Lots of stuff on
radiation,
thermodynamics, electromagnetics, and hydrodynamics at very
high
temperatures?
