Subject: Conference - Radio Freq. Power in Plasmas

The 11th Int'l Conference on Radio Frequency Power in Plasmas will be
held at the Riviera, 1600 N. Indian Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, California,
May 17-19, 1995, under the auspices of General Atomics, San Diego, CA, and
sponsorship of the American Physical Society.  This conference is conducted
in accordance with the International Council of Scientific Union's guidelines
on free circulation of scientists.

Topics:
Poster sessions and invited talks are planned. In addition to papers on
applications of radio frequency (rf) fields to plasma heating, current
drive and MHD control in plasmas, contributions are also encouraged in the
areas of basic rf wave physics, rf sources, rf materials processing,
ionospheric and astrophysical rf interactions, etc.  Examples of topics
to be included are the launching, propagation, and absorption of radio
frequency energy in various frequency ranges (Alfven to electron cyclotron)
as these topics relate to heating, confinement, plasma production, plasma
diagnostics, current generation, etc.  Papers on the technical aspects of
rf heating are welcome.
