8th International Toki
Conference
on Plasma Physics
and Controlled Nuclear Fusion
(ITC-8)
"Helical System
Research"
September
29 - October 3, 1997 Toki-city,
Japan
"International
Toki Conference on Plasma Physics and
Controlled Nuclear Fusion" has
been held annually at
Toki-city. A
selected topic on plasma physics and fusion
engineering is discussed each
year. "International
Stellarator
Conference" is held every two years and the next
conference is
scheduled to be held in Japan.
Both
conferences will be held as a joint conference in
Toki-city
and its topic will be related to helical system research.
TOPICS:
Joint Conference of 11th
International Stellarator
Conference and 8th International Toki Conference
will focus
on "Helical System Research". This conference covers
1) confinement-related experiments and
relevant theories
L-mode,
H-mode, high Ti mode, effect of radial electric field
2) new devices, advanced helical concepts,
reactor studies
3) steady state
operation
physics and
technology related to particle and energy balance.
Program consists
of invited papers, oral presentations and
poster presentations.
DATE
and PLACE:
The Conference will
be held September 29 - October
3, 1997 at Ceratopia Toki Conference Hall
in Toki-city which
