student working with plasmas...have a question: i have a
small
cylindrical plasma approx. 1.5cm in length and surrounding the
vacuum
camber wall is a coil (current transformer). this coil is connected
to a
oscilloscope, when the plasma is formed there is a
characteristic
(unique to the plasma formation) 'spike'. i have assumed
this is a
measurement of the plasma current, is this correct? can i use
the
current to calculate the resistance of the plasma (v/i = r) then
in-turn
calculate the temperature of the plasma with the resistance? what
is the
equation? thanks in advance.
