And neutrons cause havac with containment

So using some kind of liquid surface that's constantly replaced makes a

In
answer to Eric's last question, we have modified the Spheromak into
an
advanced
form composed entirely of a plasma shell, vacuum field and
central
magnetized plasma ring. Since the currents are energetic, the
plasma shell
can be compressed by bringing the surrounding gas blanket
up to several
tens of kilobars. Then the fusion
energy can the liquid
density blanket into a plasma suitable for expulsion
through an
inductive MHD generator. The description, some experimental
results
and a patent application can be viewed on the prometheus2.net
site
found in my signature.
Cheers, Paul
Mike,
BTW,
due to the exceptional sustained confinement and ease and
efficiency of
strong compression, we may be able to burn p-^11B.
