should be noted that this phenomenon has less to do with plasma physics,
than
with technical limitations on construction and operation of plasma
display
panels, as well as aspects of how human visual perception functions.
(Weird
things happen in your visual cortex when viewing a sharp edge between
complementary
colors --- even when they are printed on paper, using ink...)
