Subject: How  to maximize particle density of lab electron beam?

My impression is that it is about 10^12 per cm^3 and that ions produced

at a target the beam hits can further reduce this and perhaps magnets

or charged surfaces place on sides of beam can further increase the

density at least for some regions of the beam and or for some time

intervals?
